Mayflower Arkansas

We just drove past the area where the tornado blew through mayflower Arkansas a couple days ago.

There was total devastation on both sides of I-40.

Forrest City Arkansas

Cool, dry night. Blue skies. About 6 of us motor homes here at the Forrest City Arkansas  Walmart parking lot. Spend the night for free, shop in the store; it's win-win. And a nice spot, obviously

West Memphis, Arkansas: worse than Saint Louis.

Memphis

Memphis: easier than Saint Louis. Although mind you I'm not driving... All my opinions are voiced  from the safety of the passenger seat.

Nashville

We just drove through Nashville. Not a bad route at all. I judge by whether a city is easier to get through than Saint Louis, or harder. Saint Louis through-route is ghastly, even if you do get to see the arch, which is pretty neat.

Knoxville

We spent the night in Knoxville. Drove past the 2 houses we lived in way back when, and had dinner at Calhoun's BBQ. Just as good as it was in the 1980's. 

That storm system blew over during the night. We were in a nicely sheltered spot, and got rain but no wind of any significance. We had good Internet and kept an eye on the radar, so everything was good.

Back on I-40 heading west.

Welcome to Tennessee

I wonder if anyone gets notifications when I post here?  Anyway, plan is to head west in the camper in a week or so.  New Mexico. Colorado.  And everything in between here and there.
