Apparently there was no big deal about yesterday's earthquake. David was talking to a man from Anchorage and he said the quake would have to be a lot bigger to be even mentioned on the news.

I was in the laundry room, and all the machines were running since the laundry was just opened for the season earlier in the day. I felt a couple of vibrations, but I just figured it was someone's laundry shifting in the washer. Guess not. Interesting though.

  1. Hi Betty.. Glad it was no worse! I just listened you your message on the phone. Were you able to determine if we are unlimited calling, V to V?
Mom and I went to a concert at the State college this afternoon. A big jazz band (18) and 8 singers; a really good performance.
Dave and Anita are coming over for dinner tomorrow (Sunday) Your trip sounds wonderful. Dad.

  2. Finally I am a member of the Kool Gang. I have been sharing your trip with my classes and they are genuinelly interested in your accounts. the train trip looks like it was a bit dangerous. Ive seen that trip on the history channel and i can only imagine the what great things you must have seen from the ride. I guess that earthquakes are quite common in the BIG FREEZIE. Is the temp and weather a concern?
