We made out better with our third tank of gas for the day- back up to 10 mpg. I guess the prairie wind had stopped blowing at us by then.
We are stopped for the night at a rest area- Kansas allows overnighting. It's a nice grassy area, birds singing, cool and dry out. Although flat, very flat, as you can see from the picture of David and Syd.
Hi Betty and David... Nice work! We look forward to following your adventures. On our trip, we also stopped in a campground near Lawrence, Kansas, and it was a big celebration day, their homecoming, I think. WSe stood on main street and watched a big parade and planned to go to the football game in the afternoon, but went back to the campground instead. I think we have some movies of Lawrence. I had never heard of the Jayhawks before that!
